Bulmint transformed its annual teambuilding event into a joy-filled adventure - with a “green” message

Summer is officially underway, and Bulmint celebrated the sunniest season of the year with an educational team-building event - with a green message that changed the way we view our role in keeping Bulgaria clean and beautiful for the generations to come.

United under the motto “Together we create our future”, the members of our team and their families gathered at Hills Brewery Park in Perushtitsa so we could learn the best ways to adjust our habits and live more in tune with nature. The goal was to promote an environmentally conscious way of life both at the workplace and at home.

We owe the success of this event to EnterEvent, whose engaging program filled with eco-oriented games and teamwork was the perfect combination of beneficial and fun.

Adventures out in nature with a distinct eco flavour

The games placed a strong emphasis on teamwork and tested the participants’ skills and knowledge in the field of ecology.

The contestants, divided into 15 teams, rolled up their sleeves and competed in a number of “green” disciplines. The relay race took on the form of competitive waste segregation - a measure of speed and nimbleness. But it was the “eco quiz” that was the real test of their green thinking skills - here the teams tried to outcompete each other not via displays of physical skills, but knowledge in the fields of ecology and recycling. For the final and most complex game of the day, the teams completed a set of 60 eco-challenges armed with creativity and dexterity.

The children got the chance to have their own adventure in the meantime, at Hills’ rope park, sand box and playground. The youngest were well looked after by professionals in the kids’ corner.

The concept of “green thinking” is based around care - about the world around us and the people we share it with. In the spirit of this ideology, all plastic bottle caps used in the educational games will be donated to the “Caps for the Future” campaign.

Combining growth with leisure by learning skills together

The competition may have been over, but the fun continued through a set of exciting sports-themed activities.

Those with a passion for the most sensual artform got to learn latin dance - an apt prelude to the simmering summer days ahead. People over 16 received archery lessons, and some members of our team showed a strong affinity for the sport - much to the amazement of their colleagues. Those whose fiery competitive spirit never rests got to choose between football, boxing and tug-o-war.

The event was a huge success. Change starts on a personal level, and the message about the importance of sustainable living is going to stay with us for a long time. We plan on transforming the lessons on how to reduce our impact on the environment into habits, and the habits - into an example we can set for our community so that we can create a cleaner, healthier tomorrow for ourselves and ‌future generations.

The opportunity to learn and grow as a team united us more than any other pastime. We finished the day closer than ever, with a strengthened sense of responsibility towards the world around us, and ready to apply the knowledge we gained and pass it on to those we share our lives with - because the future is something we create together.
